The grace to follow Christ

  • Christ gave His followers the New Commandement to love one another
  • On our own we Are not always able to do the eight thing so God gives us grace
  • The call to discipleship doesn't overcome our free will, it requires our free consent and leads us to true happiness
  • The story of the Prodigal son is a good illustration of Gods mercy 
  • Jesus had a tremendous impact on history. His life, deeds, and teachings are so influential that the other world religions all have opinions about Him 
  • In the last century, the thoughts of Jesus have been organized and deeply thought about
  • Christians embrace the Jewish rots of their faith and acknowledge the great legacy inherited from the Old Testament and Jewish traditions 
  • While Jews see Jesus as a rabbi who started a new religion, Christians recognized him as the long awaited Messiah 
  • The teachings of Islam is influenced by Judaism and Christain belief 
  • Jesus is mentioned in the Quo ran 
  • Islam considers the Trinity as a belief 
  • Islam doesn't believe that Jesus is the unique Son of God or a prophet greater than Muhammad 
  • Many Buddists consider Jesus is a man of compassion 
  • Buddhism is incompatible with the teachings of Chrsitianity 
  • Material world is evil and must be liberated 
  • Hinduism 
  • One of the oldest religions
  • Many of the teachings of Jeus is incorporated in some way 
  • Many of them regard Jesus as a great teacher who is to be admired
